It is important for children at this age to have plenty of time to freely explore a variety of instruments. When parents are obviously enjoying themselves, it makes the experience much richer for everybody.

Toddlers love to grab a parent's hand and try different ways to move around the room. Because we as parents are singing to provide the music for the class, we can experiment with singing about (and doing) each child's current favorite kind of movement.
